At MRR Riches Scrap Trading, we accept a wide range of metal scraps for recycling. These materials can come from various sources, including old appliances, industrial waste, vehicles, and even construction debris. By recycling scrap metal, we not only help reduce waste but also contribute to a more sustainable environment by ensuring these metals are reused and repurposed.

Types of Metal Scraps
We Buy:

  1. Ferrous Metals
These metals contain iron and are magnetic. They are typically heavier and more abundant than non-ferrous metals. Ferrous metals are often found in construction materials, household appliances, and automotive parts.

    • Examples:

      • Steel (e.g., old refrigerators, metal pipes, structural beams)

      • Cast Iron (e.g., engine parts, old cookware)

      • Carbon Steel (e.g., structural steel beams, rebar)

  2. Non-Ferrous Metals
These metals do not contain iron and are generally more resistant to corrosion. Non-ferrous metals are lighter and more valuable than ferrous metals, making them highly sought after in the recycling industry.

    • Examples:

      • Aluminum: Found in cans, window frames, siding, and older appliances.

      • Copper: Common in electrical wiring, pipes, and old electronics.

      • Brass: Typically found in plumbing fixtures, door handles, and some coins.

      • Lead: Found in batteries and some roofing materials.

      • Stainless Steel: Often used in kitchen appliances, medical equipment, and industrial equipment.

  3. Precious Metals
These are metals that are rare, valuable, and often used in high-tech applications. While these metals are less common in everyday scrap, they are frequently found in electronic waste (e-waste) like old phones, computers, and jewelry.

    • Examples:

      • Gold: Often found in electronic components, jewelry, and small devices.

      • Silver: Found in electrical equipment, jewelry, and some photographic materials.

      • Platinum: Used in automotive catalytic converters, electronics, and jewelry.
